Elimination Diet: How To Make Cauliflower Steak

At Mana Wellness Medicine, we are here to help ditch those bothersome symptoms like overwhelming fatigue, menstrual discomfort, skin issues, and other symptoms you might be experiencing. To do this, we need to get our gut biome healthier. When the bacteria in your intestines that help you digest food are not healthy, it can make you crave foods high in carbs or sugars. This can make you feel worse and can contribute to your symptoms.

When we begin working with a patient, the elimination diet is one of the first things we discuss. While this sounds daunting and difficult, it is doable with some planning ahead.

Here is an easy recipe for cauliflower steak that is delicious and full of healthy nutrients.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 head of cauliflower

  • Seasonings of your choice, such as curry powder, Italian herbs, or oregano

  • Ghee

Directions: Cut the cauliflower into steaks and coat it with your seasoning of choice. Melt the ghee in a frying pan and sear the cauliflower steak for two or three minutes on each side or longer if you like a heartier sear. If you want the middle of the cauliflower steak a little bit softer, you can add a small amount of water or bone broth to the pan and cover to cook.

Eliminating foods does not mean you have to starve. In fact, it can be fun to experiment with different foods. If you are ready to start your journey to feeling great, schedule a consultation with us today - bit.ly/3tb36Ft.

We would love to help guide you along your journey to optimal wellness!
